Julianne Hough and Derek Hough will host this year's Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, ABC announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The show was taped in early November, before Derek's wife Hayley Erbert's emergency craniectomy.

In mid-November, Derek shared a video on his Instagram account about his busy day at Walt Disney World Resort. It's unclear if Erbert was with Derek at the time or will appear in the special.

Disney's Christmas Day parade event will be co-hosted by Mickey Guyton from Disney World and Jesse Palmer from Disneyland Resort in California.

Ariana DeBose, Chrissy Metz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iam Tongi, Meg Donnelly and Michael Bolton will entertain during the special, which is in its 40th year. The Broadway and North American Tour cast of Disney's Aladdin will also perform.

In honor of the milestone anniversary, viewers will also be treated to a look back at some of the event's most iconic moments through the years, including *NSYNC's live performance of their holiday hit "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" in 1998 and Gwen Stefani's performance of "Winter Wonderland" in 2018.

Derek announced in early December that his wife would undergo emergency craniectomy after she became disoriented and was diagnosed with "a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel." He has since been keeping his followers updated on her recovery via Instagram.
