Julianna Margulies, Jimmy Fallon sing 'Tonight' school announcements

Julianna Margulies sings high-school morning announcements on 'Fallon'

While singing won’t help Alicia Florrick win in the courtroom any time soon, Emmy winner Julianna Margulies proved she could at least boldly attempt to carry a tune on last night’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon and Margulies dressed up as a pair of cheesy high school principals, hoping to connect with their students through a hip set of morning announcements. The two sang about the debate team by way of Taylor Swift, a museum field trip where the kids will “Turn Down for Tuts,” and about obtaining parking pass permits through the sounds of “Bey Once.”

The bit harkens back to Fallon’s Saturday Night Live days, and is more than a little reminiscent of the Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer SNL sketch “The Culps.” Hopefully when Ferrell returns to Tonight, the two can combine their penchant for parodies to create the most awkward high school assembly ever.
