Julianna Barwick Announces New Album, Shares Video for New Song: Watch
Ambient composer Julianna Barwick has announced her next studio album. Healing Is a Miracle follows her 2016 LP Will. The new record is out July 10 via Ninja Tune, marking Barwick’s first album with the label. Below, watch the music video for Barwick’s new song “Inspirit.”
The new album features collaborations with Sigur Rós’ Jónsi, Nosaj Thing, and Mary Lattimore. Barwick began recording the LP last year, sketching ideas for a new album with her vocal looping equipment. “It had been so long since I had done that, making something for myself, just for the love of it,” Barwick said in a statement. “It was emotional, because I was recording music that was just from the heart, that wasn’t for an ‘assignment’ or project. It brought me to tears a little.”
