Oprah Winfrey was showered with love on her 70th birthday!

The media mogul marked the milestone on Monday and was honored with tributes from friends and stars like Gayle King and Julia Roberts, who called Winfrey "a shining, guiding light."

"Happiest of Birthdays to the shining, guiding light that is Oprah 🌟. You are one of a kind and I love you utterly. 💞 laughing with you is beyond joyous 😁" Roberts, 56, wrote on Instagram next to a picture of the two smiling.

The actress has appeared on Oprah's Super Soul podcast and sat down with the former talk show host 22 times during The Oprah Winfrey Show's run.

Also congratulating Winfrey was Viola Davis, who wrote on Instagram, "Happiest of birthdays, Queen @Oprah!! Continue growing, fighting, shifting..... I celebrate you today ❤️❤️❤️." Holly Robinson Peete commented on the post, "Happy birthday @oprah ❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Niecy Nash-Betts shared multiple photos with Winfrey on Instagram, writing, "Screaming Happy Birthday Lady O‼️🥳 We love you @oprah 💜 💜💜💜💜"

Sherri Shepherd recognized Winfrey during a segment on The Sherri Shepherd Show, expressing, "I'm so happy that she's turning 70 after producing the amazing [The] Color Purple. Oprah said that she is now in a space where she can help other people rise up."

"And it is absolutely incredible that she was able to have this full circle moment of passing on something that was so successful for her," continued Shepherd, 56. "The same role that she played, that made Oprah a star has made Danielle Brooks an Oscar nominee."

Last month, Shepherd spoke to PEOPLE about how Winfrey has greatly supported her career.

"She's been with me through this entire journey. Oprah will text me my ratings. She will text me, 'You're number two with women 25 to 54.' Long texts. And she's paying attention … That's how generous Oprah is," Shepherd told PEOPLE. "And she gives me advice and guides me."

Apart from celebrating her milestone birthday with a run on the beach, Winfrey used it as an opportunity to reflect on her past.

She wrote in an essay published by Oprah Daily that she felt "such pressure from all my friends to do something big, something special; to have a dinner, a party or luncheon — or to go somewhere like a spa, a hike, a resort or to meditate in Nepal."

After listening to their suggestions, she took he friend Wintley's advice to "savor the fragrances of your extraordinary life."
