Julia Roberts responds to co-star's dig at her Thanksgiving turkey
On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday night, Colbert may have gotten Julia Roberts’s Ben Is Back co-star Lucas Hedges in a little bit of hot water. In fact, Colbert totally threw Hedges under the bus. Roberts explained that because Hedges wasn’t be able to make it home to New York to be with his family, she invited him to Thanksgiving dinner at her house. And while Hedges had previously called Roberts “the greatest cook,” when he was a guest on The Late Show Monday night, he did have one little complaint.
“What was Thanksgiving there? How was it?” Colbert asked. “It was delicious,” Hedges replied. “Yeah? Turkey wasn’t dry?” Colbert inquired. This is where Hedges should have lied. Instead, he said, “Little dry.”
Needless to say Roberts was stunned, and Hedges shouldn’t be expecting another invitation to her house for Thanksgiving anytime soon. The Oscar winner shot back, with a smile of course, “That’s the last f***ing turkey he’s getting at my house.”
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
