Julia Louis-Dreyfrus, the actress who played Elaine on”Seinfeld,” said she didn’t know what Jerry Seinfeld was referring to when he hinted about a reunion.

“Seinfeld” is a comedic sitcom that follows comedian Jerry Seinfeld (played by Jerry Seinfeld) and his friends George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Elaine Benes (Louis-Dreyfus) and Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards). Billed as the “show about nothing,” it became one of the most popular shows in the U.S., according to Time magazine.

Earlier this month, Seinfeld was performing a comedy show in Boston when he talked about the ending of “Seinfeld.”

For fans of “Seinfeld,” the finale can be something of a polarizing subject. The show ends with the four friends in prison; they were sentenced to one year each at the end. The finale was the subject of controversy with some fans expressing that they didn’t like it, per The Washington Post. Other fans thought the ending of the show worked well with the premise of the show.

The “Seinfeld” finale attracted 76.3 million people, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Opinions about the finale aside, Seinfeld seemed to indicate that even though the show ended 25 years ago, the cast might not be done yet.

“Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending, but I can’t really tell it because it’s a secret. Here’s what I can tell you, but you can’t tell anybody: Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet,” Seinfeld reportedly said. “And just what you are thinking about (‘Seinfeld’ co-creator Larry David) and I have also been thinking about. So you’ll see.”

No other details about the purported reunion have been reported.

In an interview with The Guardian, Louis-Dreyfus told reporter Catherine Shoard that she had seen reporting of Seinfeld’s comments, but didn’t know what he was referring to.
