Drew McIntyre‘s win on WWE RAW had major ramifications for WWE Clash at the Castle.

In the main event of the June 10 episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre faced Finn Balor of the Judgment Day. With a win, McIntyre would ensure that the Judgment Day would be banned from ringside for his match with World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Despite Priest coming out to distract McIntyre and Carlito and JD McDonagh interfering, McIntyre still put Balor away with a Claymore. In doing so, he earned a level playing field against Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle.

McIntyre may have scored the upper hand; though he and Priest will clash one-on-one, McIntyre will have the home-field advantage. Clash at the Castle will be held in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland.

Priest and McIntyre have been at odds since Damian cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 40. Priest’s title win came just minutes after McIntyre dethroned Seth Rollins and captured the gold. McIntyre then confronted CM Punk after the bout. Punk attacked him and left him vulnerable before Priest took advantage of the situation.

Priest previously defended the title against Jey Uso at WWE Backlash France.
