Judges and fans shocked after ‘X Factor UK’ singer falls off stage

On The X-Factor UK Sunday, 20-year-old singer/songwriter Tommy Ludford was a big hit while performing his original song, “Dipping Biscuits.” But then he felt a big hit when he ran out of stage behind him after the song was over, and went crashing to the floor a good four or five feet below.

After some dramatic reactions were caught on camera from judges, fans and fellow performers, Ludford stood and gave a fist pump, indicating he was fine.Ludford, who is a kitchen porter by day in Sussex, initially impressed the judges during his audition a few weeks ago, with his unique mix of singing and rapping.

The unfortunate fall came during the six chair challenge, where Ludford was fighting to keep a seat under mentor, and former One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson. And it just so happens that Tomlinson is also a pretty good guy, cuz guess which direction he was headed after the fall? Straight to Ludford’s side.Check out another time Simon Cowell witnessed a contestant falling, this time on America’s Got Talent:
