Joy Sunday said that her look at the Emmys would be “nothing less than monumental” — and on Monday night, she delivered on that promise.

The Wednesday actress (she plays the scene-stealing Bianca Barclay on the hit Netflix series), 27, who was recently named Lancôme’s newest Global Ambassador, arrived at Monday's show in an off-the-shoulder white Safiyaa top with a double train and flared pants.

She accessorized the look with Alexis Bittar jewels including a pair of sparkly statement earrings and Jimmy Choo shoes.

But it was her glam that stole the spotlight. Hairstylist Sharif Poston added graphic lines to Sunday's buzz cut hours before the show.

To complement her white ensemble and new hair style, she went for "dainty and fresh" makeup, the star's pro, Lancôme Global Makeup Artist Sheika Daley tells PEOPLE. "She wanted it to be very whimsical."

The two came up with the look together, which featured, "Twiggy-type beige eyeliner on the inner rims of the eyes, beautiful fluffy lashes on top and really dramatic lashes on the bottom," says Daley, who used Elora Lane 3D Mink Lashes with Lancôme Monsieur Big Volume Mascara for the voluminous effect.

To add a rosy flush, she applied Lancôme L'Absolu Intimatte Soft Matte Lipstick in 440 Got Me Blushing to Sunday's cheeks as well as her lips, then topped it off with  Lancôme Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss in 01 Pure for a glossy finish

Of working with the actress, Daley tells PEOPLE, "she's a makeup artist's dream," explaining, "she doesn't wear any hair, so she's all face!"

Sunday may be relatively new to the red carpet, but she’s already proven herself to be a fashion force since her first big moment in the spotlight at the 2022 world premiere of Wednesday, where she chose a strapless color-blocked Harbison Studio midi-length dress featuring gold charms.

“I arrived at my fitting and my stylist, Darryl Glover, surprised me with the gown and we just knew it was correct and we were so excited to build around it,” she told PEOPLE of the look. “It was so whimsical and bright and yet fitting for my international debut. I love that look and I'm so happy that we took that risk.”

The actress teased that she would be taking a similarly bold approach to her Emmy look, telling PEOPLE, “My Emmys debut will be nothing less than monumental. I’m excited to truly make a statement and take a risk!”

And when it comes to feeling her best for a big event, Sunday says it’s all about the makeup. “When I have my face fully beat, I feel like I can walk in any pair of heels. Having my makeup set is going to pull the look together. That, and a snatched waist.”

Luckily for Sunday, one of the perks of being a Lancôme Global Ambassador is access to top celebrity makeup artists like Daley (who also works with Zendaya, Issa Rae and Kelly Rowland) as well as all of the brand’s products. She’s already hooked on Comfort Hand Cream and L'absolu Rouge Lip Balm. “I have to keep them both on deck, they’re my essentials and I’m devastated if I leave the house without them.”
