Griffin called it a "disservice to the American public" that GOP candidate Donald Trump is in court instead of addressing issues on the trail.

Weeks after citing Alyssa Farah Griffin's past association as a Donald Trump staffer as the source of her glee in dumping a bucket of slime on her cohost's head, The View panelist Joy Behar again jabbed her fellow star's ties to the Republican party in a serious Hot Topics conversation.

Behar kicked off Tuesday's episode by calling the former president a "sociopath" for allegedly falling asleep in a Manhattan court room on Monday amid his ongoing hush money criminal trial. Griffin, who worked for Trump's communications team at the White House before resigning in 2020, speculated that the case isn't holding his attention like, she estimated, a separate case related to the Jan. 6 insurrection will.

"It is so frustrating, as a Republican, [that] this is what we signed up to do again. This is the whole campaign: court rooms, occasionally traveling, not actually talking about issues voters care about," Griffin said. "I know how you guys feel about [former candidate] Nikki Haley, but say it was Nikki Haley, she'd be criss-crossing the country. She'd be in two states a day, in battlegrounds, talking about what voters want to hear about. We're not getting that. It's honestly such a disservice to the American public that this is what we have."

"Well, you can thank your Republican colleagues for that," Behar said, as Griffin continued. "They could've impeached him."

Griffin paused to address the latter portion of Behar's comment, reminding her, "Well, I testified," referencing her involvement in federal prosecutors' probe into the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection.

Though Behar regularly calls out Griffin's association with conservatives, Griffin has long spoken out against her former boss — and even said in a 2023 episode of The View that she regretted aligning with "the wrong people" earlier in her political career.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
