Joy-Anna Duggar Suffers Miscarriage at 5 Months: 'We named her Annabell Elise'

Joy-Anna Duggar has revealed she's suffered a miscarriage at 5 months.

In a heartbreaking post on IG Wednesday, the "Counting On" star recalls that one week ago, they went in for an ultrasound and couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat.

However, they were still able to find out the gender ... it was a girl.

In the black and white photo Joy-Anna shared, it shows her husband, Austin Forsyth, comforting her in their time of need.

In her own words, Joy-Anna revisits the moment they found out.

"Today marks one week since we heard these words… . 'So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement,'" she captioned the post. "We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl."

Saying they "have cried countless tears," but are putting their trust in God's choice to take their baby.

"Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time," Joy-Anna writes.

She also revealed they had a baby name picked out for their daughter.

"We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means 'God has favored me', and Elise means 'God satisfies,'" she said. "What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus."

Calling on fans to pray for their healing "not only physically but for our hearts as well," Joy-Anna signed off with a prayer.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth announced in May they were expecting their second baby.

Revealing the due date was in November, she said they "cannot wait to meet this new little one! Gideon is going to be such a great big brother!!"

Their first child, Gideon, was born in February 2018.
