Journalists Share Alec Baldwin Horror Stories: He Told Me ‘I Hope You Choke to Death’

Alec Baldwin Says Reports He Punched Someone Over a Parking Spot Are ‘Clickbait’

ABC White House correspondent Tara Palmeri said Alec Baldwin once told her that he would like to see her choke to death. Palmeri shared the tidbit in a tweet Friday shortly after news broke that the actor had been arrested for his role in a brawl over a parking space

“Alec Baldwin also told me “I hope you choke to death” when I was on assignment, staking out his house,” she said.

Both Palmeri and reps for her at ABC did not immediately respond to request for comment or additional context about the incident.

Palmeri was one of several journalists speaking out about Baldwin’s behavior Friday afternoon. The ABC correspondent’s remarks came in as a reply to New York Times White House reporter Maggie Haberman — who shared her own story.

“Baldwin was the first person I ever experienced being blocked by on Twitter, after he used his account with hundreds of thousands of followers to berate me for…writing about a fundraiser he’d hosted in a way he didn’t find satisfactory,” she said.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins said Baldwin called her a “hag” after she observed that he employed several nannies.

Reps for Baldwin did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap.

In recent years, Baldwin’s characterization of Trump on “Saturday Night Live” has drawn global acclaim and earned him a Primetime Emmy in 2017. It hasn’t hurt that the rendition has been repeatedly and vociferously criticized by Trump himself on Twitter.

Accounts of Baldwin’s temper date back at least to 2007 — the year of Baldwin’s infamous and unhinged phone-call to his then-11-year-old daughter Ireland during a custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

“I don’t give a damn that you’re 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do.” Baldwin railed in the recording, TMZ reported at the time “You’ve made me feel like s–.”
