Joss Stone Reveals She's Married to American Musician Cody DaLuz

"I went home to Nashville and we got married," Stone said Wednesday in a new interview

Wedding bells are ringing for Joss Stone!

On Wednesday, the English singer, 36, revealed that she and her partner, Cody DaLuz, tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Nashville.

Stone made the revelation during a interview on Channel 5 News in the U.K. as she promoted The Time Traveller’s Wife musical, for which she has written the music and lyrics.

Speaking with the show’s director Bill Buckhurst, Stone recalled how a wedding bouquet thrown at the end of the musical’s first act recently landed near her and was a sign she should walk down the aisle.

“I’ll tell you something, magically, really, truly,” said Stone. “You know when she throws the flowers at the end? They came to me and I almost reached out for them to catch the flowers. This is when she gets married and they do the whole thing and that’s the end of the first act.”

She continued, “They sort of fell down here and there was an empty seat, just the only empty seat in the whole place, and no one went to pick them up and I was like, ‘Well they were for me!’ So, I picked them up and I went, ‘Way!’ And everyone was like, ‘Yeah!’ Anyway, I went home to Nashville and we got married last Thursday.”

“I thought it was a good omen,” Stone added. “It’s got to be a good sign.”

“Wow, that’s proper magic," a shocked Buckhurst responded. “Congratulations!”

A representative for Stone did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Later on Wednesday, Stone and the American musician attended the opening night of her new musical at the Apollo Theatre in London, and while posing for photos on the red carpet, two rings could be seen on Stone's left hand.

The couple are parents to daughter Violet, who turns 3 in January, and son Shackleton, 13 months.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE the month after the birth of her baby boy, who is named after Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton, the “Super Duper Love” singer opened up about the instant bond her daughter had formed with her little brother.

“It's really great because Violet is so in love with him," she said. "She wants to kiss him all the time. She was screaming with excitement to meet him. I mean, she wanted to see the baby more than she wanted to see me."

In an interview with U.K. newspaper The Mirror last year, Stone also opened up about her relationship with DaLuz and shared how she knew he was her endgame.

“I started most conversations in previous relationships for the last seven or eight years with, ‘Nice to meet you…I want seven kids,’ and then I’d wait to see whether they laughed or ran!” Stone explained. “Cody, though, he was like, ‘All I want is an adoptive Beagle and an adoptive baby.’ I was like, ‘My God, I love you.’ I knew he was the one. And I told him I wanted seven children and he didn’t run a mile.”

“I’d like seven children! I may only end up with two but I like to aim high. Aim high and you might get somewhere close enough,” she added.

According to the publication, she and DaLuz met at an airport in Belize in 2020, just before the Covid-19 pandemic.
