Joshua Jackson Doesn't Agree With Jodie Turner-Smith About This Crucial Issue in Their Divorce

Joshua Jackson has finally filed for divorce from estranged wife Jodie Turner-Smith, over a month after she ended their three-year marriage. The Little Fires Everywhere star was responding to Turner-Smith’s original filing which cited “irreconcilable differences” for their split.

The good news is that the couple is putting the needs of their three-year-old daughter, Juno Rose Diana, first, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. Jackson agreed with Turner-Smith’s filing that they both “should have joint legal and physical custody” of the child. They want to also follow the prenuptial agreement they signed ahead of their marriage when it comes to division of assets, so there shouldn’t be any financial fights ahead either. But there is one issue they don’t agree on: their date of separation.
Jackson seems to believe that their date of separation was Sept. 30 while Turner-Smith recorded that their split happened on Sept. 13. What occurred in-between those 17 days might be a big point of contention, but the 37-year-old actress is doing her best to keep her personal life out of the press. Her lawyers have already suggested that utilize the services of a private judge to settle their differences.
The former dynamic duo had a roller-coaster relationship, sometimes unfollowing each other on Instagram followed by intense PDA photos snapped by paparazzi. It was clear something was happening behind the scenes in their marriage. However, Jackson was reportedly shocked by his ex-wife’s divorce filing. “Joshua is heartbroken over the impending divorce. He always thought that he would be married and grow old with his family, and everything would be happily ever after,” an insider explained to the Daily Mail. “He had the dream scenario in his mind, and Jodie was his person and the person he thought he would be with forever.”
