Josh & Heather Altman Share New Details on Their Orange County House: "It Feels Very Different"

Josh Altman and Heather Altman are making exciting progress on their new "dream house."

In March, Heather told BravoTV.com that she and Josh had recently purchased a waterfront home in Orange County and would be "remodeling that over the next year" in order to one day make it their "full-time residence.”

Nearly nine months later, "It's getting there," Josh told BravoTV.com in a December interview.

After seeing how the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles couple renovated their current house (watch the video above for a look inside their sleek kitchen), it's no surprise that they're putting a great deal of time and effort into the design details of their family's new home.

Josh & Heather Altman Just Bought Their “Dream House”: Details

"We went for more of the, like, Hamptons, East Coast kind of traditional type vibe," Heather shared in the same December interview. "More ornate kind of decor, some really gorgeous Calacatta Vagli, and just some more rich tones, and [we are] doing walnut cabinets in our kitchen with brass details."

"Think Ralph Lauren meets Hamptons," she continued. "East Coast traditional with an updated spin on it."

The design of the new home isn't exactly a big departure from the look of their current house, although there are notable differences.

"We're definitely those traditional people when it comes to our own home," Heather explained. "We live in a traditional house now, and it's white cabinets and, you know, a white countertop. So, we don't wanna do the same thing for our other home, but that's the general style that we typically go for."

"Trying to switch it up so it feels very different, that was fun and a little bit of a challenge to kind of step out and figure out how to make it different [but] still warm and cozy," she shared. "I love traditional just because a traditional house doesn't ever go out of style. If you look at a traditional house from 20 years ago, it's pretty much the same finishes and stones and cabinets that you would see now. So, I always just feel like it's a great classic where you can't go wrong as an investment."

Josh and Heather Altman give an update on The Altman Brothers' OC office

The couple is also currently working on another major construction in the area: The Altman Brothers' new Orange County office.

In terms of design, Josh shared, "The house and office are complete opposites, which is fun for me because it gives me the ability to have a lot of creativity and not feel like I'm missing out on a different decor or aesthetic that I really love."

He added, "With the office, we definitely did more of that minimalist, kind of elevated, coastal Tulum vibe."

When it's complete, Josh explained there will be "sandy beige colors throughout the entire office," as well as "Venetian plaster walls" and a "stunning onyx" bar, which he calls the "focal point of the entire office."

Heather is excited that the exterior of the office "is fully done," but she is eager to have the "doors officially open."

Although the team has been working out of a temporary office over the last year, Heather explained, "We really wanna have our home for our agents open." The new office, she said, "is really spectacular" and is "not your typical office. It's a real estate lounge."

"We've got this space for 15 years at least, if not longer," she continued. "So we want to do it right."
