Josh Duhamel reveals he's engaged to Audra Mari; see his ex Fergie's sweet congratulations

The message is unmistakable: She said yes!

Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari are engaged, he posted on his verified Instagram. The “Transformers” and “Love, Simon” star, 49, popped the question Saturday to his girlfriend, a model, TV host and former Miss World America, on her 28th birthday.

The couple’s engagement took place on the beach at sunset. In the photo, Duhamel holds out a piece of paper with burned edges and the handwritten question, “Audra Diane Mari, will you marry me?” A beaming Mari points at the camera.

“It’s on!! She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!!” he wrote on Instagram. Mari shared the photo in her Instagram Story with a heart sticker.

Duhamel’s ex-wife, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, wrote “Congrats!!!” with six green hearts in his comments.

Fergie and Duhamel split in 2017 after eight years of marriage and divorced in 2019. They share a 8-year-old son, Axl Jack.

A year after their split, Duhamel spoke supportively of Fergie and frankly about his hopes for growing his family.

“I want to have more kids in the next few years,” he told Dax Shepard on the "Armchair Expert" podcast in 2018, saying he was looking for a partner young enough to have children. "I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.”
