The ‘Dune: Part Two’ actor’s book will be published this fall

Josh Brolin is back with another book.

The actor, 56, has exclusively shared the cover of his upcoming memoir with PEOPLE. From Under the Truck will hit shelves this fall, and is forthcoming from Harper, an imprint of HarperCollins.

From Under the Truck is an “un-celebrity memoir,” according to the book’s official description. Brolin moves back and forth through time to capture aspects of his life, such as his “unconventional” childhood in Paso Robles, Calif., surrounded by wild animals. Brolin also writes of the tragic, early death of his mother, Jane Agee Brolin.

Brolin will also delve into his decades-long film career, including iconic roles in films in 1985's The Goonies and 2007's No Country for Old Men, as well as insight into his journey into fatherhood, addiction, relationships and love.

The book is “an audacious and riveting memoir from a born writer,” per its publisher.

Brolin has already had a busy publishing year. In February, the actor published a book of poetry and photography, Dune: Exposures, through Insight Editions. The book is a tribute to his time in the Dune Franchise, in which Brolin plays Warmaster Gurney Halleck in 2021’s Dune: Part One and 2024’s Dune: Part Two.

Dune: Exposures showcases the creative link between Brolin and Director of Photography Greig Fraser, and includes Fraser’s candid photos from working on the set interspersed with poems by Brolin.

Insight Editions called Dune Exposures "a moving and interior chronicle of a fleetingly rare creative bond shared by two practitioners at the heights of their respective crafts."

From Under the Truck will hit shelves on Nov. 19 and is now available for preorder.
