Aaron Clancy, Connor Brennan, Tré Cooper, James Bonsall Join ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 7 (TV News Roundup)

After being eliminated on Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” Aaron Clancy, Connor Brennan, Tré Cooper and James Bonsall have joined Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” airing on Aug. 16.

This summer marks the series’ return for the first time in two years. Shot at a resort in Mexico, Season 7 will feature 23 singles from past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” seasons who will then be joined by more contestants showing up as surprise additions.

Joining Clancy, Brennan, Cooper and Bonsall on the beach are Abigail Heringer, Brendan Morais, Deandra Kanu, Ivan Hall, Jessenia Cruz, Joe Amabile, Karl Smith, Kelsey Weir, Kenny Braasch, Mari Pepin-Solis, Maurissa Gunn, Natasha Parker, Noah Erb, Serena Chew, Serena Pitt, Tahzjuan Hawkins, Tammy Ly, Victoria Larson and Victoria Paul.

After Chris Harrison’s departure, this season of “Bachelor in Paradise” will be hosted by Lil Jon, David Spade, Tituss Burgess, Lance Bass and Wells Adams.

FIRST LOOKS

Disney Plus released a trailer for “Behind the Attraction,” premiering on July 21. Narrated by Paget Brewster, the 10-part series gives viewers an exclusive look behind the scenes of fan-favorite attractions and destinations at Disney Parks and Resorts. Through archival footage and photographs, viewers will learn the rich history of the attractions, from Jungle Cruise to the Haunted Mansion to “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” to Space Mountain. CASTING

Jordin Sparks will star in the all-new original Hallmark Channel movie, “A Christmas Treasure,” alongside Michael Xavier. The film, premiering as part of the network’s “Countdown to Christmas” programming event, follows writer Lou (Sparks) after she opens a 100-year-old time capsule and finds her grandfather’s journal, causing her to question whether she should move to New York after Christmas to further her career or stay in Pine Grove to carry on her family’s local newspaper. When she meets charming chef Kyle (Xavier), who is also at a crossroads, the pair develop a magical connection during the holiday season, helping each of their journeys. In the movie, the “American Idol” winner delivers her own renditions of two classic Christmas songs, “This Christmas” and “Oh Holy Night.” Sparks’ original song “Oh, It’s Christmas,” from her album “Cider & Hennessy,” will also be featured in the film. Executive produced by Sparks, Stephanie Germain, Harvey Kahn and Allen Lewis, “A Christmas Treasure” is from Christmas Treasure Road Productions Ltd. Charles Cooper serves as producer, and Michael Robison directs from a story by Jen Notas Shapiro and teleplay by Sandra Berg & Judith Berg. The music is by Sean William.

Nick Barrotta, Kaye Singleton and Russell Thomas have joined BET’s hit series “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” as series regulars. The series, returning with new episodes on July 20, follows what can happen when the First Family are crazed, criminal maniacs. Barrotta will play Allan, the assistant to the President’s chief of staff and Ellie’s boyfriend; Thomas will play Vice President Eli, who has a secret plan to overthrow the President; and Singleton will play Simone, the Second Lady who supports her husband as take on the First Family. Executive produced, directed and written by Tyler Perry, “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” also stars Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey, Vaughn Hebron, Teesha Renee, Daniel Croix Henderson, Lodric Collins, Ciera Payton, Walter Fauntleroy, Taja V. GREENLIGHTS

Netflix has greenlit two all-new animated preschool series from Moonbug Entertainment Ltd., based on the beloved characters CoComelon and Little Baby Bum, to launch in 2022. It will include new specials four nursery rhyme compilations and three seasons of CoComelone Lane. New series “Little Baby Bum: Music Time” will premier win 2023.

LATE NIGHT

BTS and Édgar Ramírez will appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” while LeBron James, Richard E. Grant and Tainy X Yandel will be on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with guest host Arsenio Hall. “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” will have on Richard Branson and Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Amy Poehler, M. Night Shyamalan and Charlie Benante will be on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
