Jordan Fisher and Ellie Fisher's love story is straight out of a rom-com.

The Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between actor and his wife, who are both from Birmingham, Alabama, first met when Jordan was 13 years old, and they eventually reconnected later in life.

The couple got engaged in May 2019 and tied the knot the following year in a private Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding ceremony at Walt Disney World Resort.

After announcing in December 2021 that they were expecting their first child, Jordan and Ellie welcomed a baby boy named Riley William on June 7, 2022.

"It's the most amazing thing — talk about purpose," Jordan said while discussing fatherhood on Live with Kelly and Mark in December 2023. Looking lovingly at Riley and his wife in the audience, he added, "I think that it'll be 20 years in January that I've been [acting], and it's so beautiful, and I'm so grateful for it. But the way all of it shrinks when that happens ..."

She and Jordan were childhood best friends

"We were best friends growing up," The Flash star previously told PEOPLE. After their relationship turned romantic as adults, Jordan knew "pretty much two months into dating" that Ellie was "the one."

She and Jordan got engaged at her family home

Jordan went all out for his romantic proposal to Ellie, which took two months to plan. "I'm a very hard person to surprise so the fact that he pulled it off, kudos to you, babe," Ellie previously told PEOPLE.

Jordan chose to get down on one knee at Ellie's parents' beach house in Birmingham, which Ellie describes as "a really special place" for the couple.

The proposal was complete with a serenade from one of their friends, Nicholas, who "popped out of the woods" and began singing the couple's favorite song "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar.

She and Jordan wed in 2020

The couple's nuptials took place after hours at Disney World's Magic Kingdom on Nov. 21, 2020.

"It was much smaller than we originally planned, but it ended up exactly what it was supposed to be. It was so romantic, sweet and beautiful," Ellie told PEOPLE following her and Jordan's socially-distanced wedding.

She's four years younger than Jordan

While Jordan was born on April 24, 1994, Ellie was born in June 1998. For her 23rd birthday in 2021, Ellie and Jordan celebrated by spending the day at Harry Potter World.

"Bringing in year 23 with sweet friends and Harry Potter World! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! What a wonderful day and looking forward to a wonderful year!" Ellie captioned a photo of her and Jordan sharing a kiss in front of Hogwarts.

She graduated from the University of Alabama

Ellie graduated from the University of Alabama, where she studied clinical dietetics, per Jordan's interview with Alabama Living.

Ellie reflected on post-grad life in an Instagram post from January 2020, writing, "I've been so blessed to be able to travel before @jordan_fisher and I start this new chapter. Post grad life is going to be challenging and exciting. I'm going to miss my friends and family in Birmingham but I also can't wait to see what waits for me in New York!"

She has her own vlog

Ellie has a YouTube channel, where she has vlogged about everything from her engagement to Jordan to her favorite workouts. Though she hasn't posted on the YouTube account since 2020, she is very active on TikTok, where she documented her pregnancy.

She and Jordan share one child

The couple welcomed their first child, son Riley William, on June 7, 2022.

"What a journey this has been. we’re so incredibly blessed to finally meet our first born," Jordan and Ellie wrote on Instagram in a joint post.

In December 2023, the Work It actor revealed that he and Ellie have every intention of adding to their little family.

"Listen, we're gonna do it again," he said on Live with Kelly and Mark, referring to having another child. Jordan went to call Riley his "best little friend."
