Jonesborough’s ‘Music on the Square’ kicked off Friday

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – Jonesborough’s weekly live music “Music on the Square” returned Friday.

“Music on the Square” is free and held every Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in front of the Washington County Courthouse on Main Street in downtown Jonesborough.

The live shows feature diverse music, including jazz, bluegrass, rock, blues and Americana.

Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley performed traditional country blues to kick off this season.

A list of food trucks will be rotating each week.

Paytm warns of job cuts as losses swell after RBI clampdown
Indian digital payments platform Paytm warned of job cuts on Wednesday after reporting that its net loss widened in the fourth quarter as it grapples with a recent regulatory clampdown. One 97 Communications, Paytm's parent, said it expects to cut employee expenses and pare down its annual costs on staff by $48 million to $60 million. India's central bank in February banned the company's banking partner and sister company, Paytm Payments Bank, from conducting banking activity from March.
