LIZ LOZA: The Indianapolis Colts are not playing around. With their second pick in the 2020 Draft, they select Jonathan Taylor, the workhorse running back out of Wisconsin, a former track standout with incredible speed, and someone who has worked both in man and zone, so he is virtually scheme-proof.
I love the pick for the Colts, but I hate it for Marlon Mack. Now, Marlon Mack obviously not used in the passing game too much. In fact, oddly, that's something about Taylor's skill set that was a bit of a knock, because he hadn't really been used as a receiver until his last year at Wisconsin.
So it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out, though I'm going to give the edge to Taylor. He is a beast at the goal line, wildly productive. And you don't draft this kid if you're not going to feed him the ball. I think he can see upwards of 17 touches per game.
