Jonathan Scott Proves That He's the Biggest Fan of Zooey Deschanel With This Cute Holiday Reveal

If anyone was worried that Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel wouldn’t continue to be one of Hollywood’s cutest couples, don’t worry — they still hold that title. The 45-year-old TV personality proved to be his future wife’s biggest fan when revealed his favorite Christmas movie of all time.

In a now-expired Instagram Story (Us Weekly captured it), Scott shared the living room scene with his followers, asking, “What are we doing?” He then pivoted his camera around to the TV with Deschanel’s 2003 movie, Elf, on the screen. She played the less-than-enthusiastic Gimbel’s employee who learns the magic of the  holiday season through her pal. Buddy the Elf.

What can I say? It’s my fav,” Scott sweetly said in the clip. And for added effect, he wrote a caption with heart emojis: “I just love it @zooeydeschanel.” The dynamic duo got engaged in August after four years of dating, and it looks like their engagement year is off to a smashing start. The HGTV star revealed how connected he feels to Deschanel after his first marriage to Kelsey Ully ended in divorce in 2013.

“Zooey and I have talked about the stuff that we want to do,” Scott said on the You Made It Weird With Pete Holmes podcast. “She knows the things that are important to me, the things that have hurt me. I’ve had other relationships where the person ended up doing the same thing that hurt me in a previous relationship. They knew that that was what happened in a previous life, and they still did it.”

Deschanel is also amicably co-parenting her two kids, Elsie, 8, and Charlie, 6, with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, so she understands where Scott is coming from. Their candid conversations are only going to make their upcoming union even stronger, and having Scott champion Deschanel’s career success sounds like a strong foundation for them to build upon.
