"Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott is definitely not a cotton-headed ninny muggins and definitely has a soft spot for one of the greatest holiday movies of our generation. Scott took to Instagram on Monday and shared a classic photo of Zooey Deschanel from the movie "Elf," with Will Ferrell. Most people are familiar with the holiday movie, as it pretty much plays non-stop on TV immediately as soon as Thanksgiving begins.
However, Scott switched things up a bit by photoshopping himself into the scene as one of Santa's elves.
"We’re gonna spread SO much holiday cheer this year" he captioned the hilarious photo.
Fans Loved It
Fans were super excited for Scott's reference to one of Deschanel's best roles, and showed love and praise in the comments.
"This is too adorable, my heart can't take it," one fan wrote.
Another joked, "I would probably annoy her SO MUCH trying to get her to sing baby it’s cold outside and auld Lang syne all season."
Many fans also advised the stars that it was "Time to get married!" and some even thought that Scott may pop the question over the holiday season.
It seems Deschanel and Scott are also creating some holiday traditions as a couple and showed off some fancy personalized Christmas cookies. They were also seen posing for a photo with legendary magician David Copperfield, but luckily he did not make them disappear.
Deschanel also recently paid tribute to "Elf," by posting a photo of herself from the flick and letting fans know she was "In the mood for some swirly twirly gumdrops!"
Her HGTV star boyfriend immediately commented on the photo: "You’re so pretty you could be on a Christmas card."
She & Him
Even though Jonathan Scott may be the main man in Zooey Deschanel's life, he's not the only one, as she's also part of a musical duo, She & Him.
The band recently played at "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and Scott showed up to show his full support.
"Supportin my girl. 🥰Thank you Oakland for supporting @sheandhim. LA...you’re next," he wrote on Instagram.
The band just finished up a little tour for their Christmas album, and Deschanel thanked everyone for the support.
"Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas Party tour! We had so much fun ringing in the holidays with all of you."
