Jonathan Majors’ Ex Grace Jabbari Thanks Domestic Violence Support Organization 1 Day After His Guilty Verdict

Jabbari asked her Instagram followers to support Sanctuary for Families New York as her birthday wish

Jonathan Majors’ former girlfriend Grace Jabbari thanked the domestic violence support organization that represented her in Majors' assault trial, one day after the actor was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment.

“For my birthday, if you want.. a donation to @sffny, a charity that helped me so much this year, would be the best gift you could give,” the dancer and movement coach, 30, posted in an Instagram Story Tuesday, tagging Sanctuary for Families New York. “Thank you so much @sffny, and everyone else...For everything.”

Underneath her message was a graphic that read, “New Yorkers: Get help today. Leave abuse behind.” The graphic displayed the names of two more domestic violence support organizations, their phone numbers and hours of operation.

On Monday, Sanctuary for Families New York said it was "proud to have represented Ms. Jabbari throughout this process and will continue to support her on her journey toward justice and healing" in a statement published on Instagram.

Included was a statement from Sanctuary for Family's Ross Kramer, who served as Jabbari's lawyer during the trial.

“We are gratified to see justice served by today’s guilty verdict," said Kramer, the director of Sanctuary's Incarcerated Gender Violence Survivors Initiative, via statement. "Ms. Jabbari testified publicly and truthfully, even though reliving these traumatic events on the witness stand was obviously painful. We are grateful to the jurors and the Judge for their attention and patience, and to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for their hard work and support."

After praising Jabbari's “tremendous strength and resilience," Kramer concluded, “Unfortunately, for every survivor like Ms. Jabbari who comes forward to hold their abuser accountable, there are many others who believe that they cannot. We hope that her actions will inspire other survivors to speak their truth and seek justice.”

Majors, who portrayed Kang the Conqueror in the 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was found guilty of two charges: misdemeanor assault in the third degree, recklessly causing physical injury as well as harassment in the second degree, which is a violation. Majors, 34, was found not guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree.

The split verdict was delivered in connection with an alleged fight between Majors and Jabbari that happened in March in Manhattan's Chinatown neighborhood.

Since then, PEOPLE has confirmed that Marvel Studios will no longer work with the Creed III actor — who was set to star in multiple upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including a fifth Avengers movie.

The actor was also featured in the current season of the Disney+ series Loki.

Majors returns to court for sentencing on Feb. 6.
