Former  Marvel star Jonathan Majors has suffered another blow to his career after being found guilty of assault and harassment against his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

According to reports, the actor has been dropped from an upcoming movie, "48 Hours in Vegas," where he was expected to star as the renowned basketballer Dennis Rodman.

In the wake of the guilty verdict, the actor also suffered other career losses, including losing his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He recently broke his silence about the case he plans to appeal.

Majors' career recently received another blow, adding to the list of losses he has experienced since he first garnered negative traction for a domestic violence incident involving ex-partner Grace Jabbari in March last year.

According to reports, Majors was removed from the planned cast of "48 Hours in Vegas," a movie being produced by the comedy duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for their work on the "LEGO Movie" and "21 Jump Street."

Majors was initially set to play the role of former NBA star Dennis Rodman in the film. Unfortunately, the possibility of seeing him sport Rodman's iconic green, pink, blonde, or red hair now remains only a dream.

Additionally, it's been reported that the film industry heavyweight Lionsgate, set initially to develop the movie, is no longer associated with the project. Currently, efforts are underway to pitch the film to other potential buyers.

Deadline first reported the news about Jonathan Majors' involvement in "48 Hours in Vegas" back in September 2022. At the time, negotiations had yet to be concluded but were headed in the right direction.

Moving ahead to March 2023, Majors had decided to star in the project, as he shared insights about his preparation for the role in an interview with ET's Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner on the red carpet at the 95th Academy Awards.

He told the duo about how he intends to embody Rodman and his eccentricities, saying he would do it "little by little" along with doing "a lot of studying."

"I want to get with him, Dennis. I'm coming for you! Let's have a chat, humbly. I need to. We need to meet," Majors added at the time about the film, which was set to see him relive Rodman's infamous trip to Sin City in the middle of the 1998 NBA Finals.

Why The Actor Was Dropped From '48 Hours In Las Vegas'

While specific reasons for Majors being dropped remain undisclosed, it takes no genius to know that his guilty verdict on assault and harassment charges from the domestic violence incident likely played a significant role.

Previously, he was dropped from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. The actor had already portrayed the character in two films, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" and "Loki." He was expected to reprise the role in the MCU's next phase, "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" and "Avengers: Secret Wars."

Majors was also dropped from a film adaptation of Walter Mosley's 2004 novel "The Man in My Basement." Negotiations for his role in a biopic about late musician Otis Redding then fell through, and he was removed from an advertisement campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team.

Recently, Majors broke his silence on his conviction during an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America," his first since the guilty verdict.

He told his interviewer that he was "shocked" by the decision of the jury, which he plans to appeal.

"I'm standing there, and the verdict comes down. I say, 'How is that possible based off the evidence, based off the prosecution's evidence, let alone our evidence? How is that possible?'" Majors remarked at the time, per The Guardian.

The actor also revealed that he had no idea how his ex-Jabbari got the wound on her body after their altercation.

"I wish to God I knew. That would give me clarity, that would give me some type of peace about it," the former Marvel star said, adding that he had never hit her all through their two-plus-year relationship.

Majors will be sentenced on February 6. He faces up to a year in jail, alongside other possible punishments.
