Jonathan Helfgot has left Open Road to join 20th Century Fox as the studio's executive vp theatrical marketing.
Screen Gems grad Loren Schwartz is taking over the reins at Open Road, where Helfgot was for a little over one year.
The move is a return to the studio for Helfgot, who worked at Fox from 2004 to 2011, most recently serving as senior vp marketing strategy.
In his new position, which is slated to start May 8, Helfgot will report to Fox's president of global marketing Pam Levine, who commented, "We are thrilled to have Jonathan join our team in this pivotal role where his strategic instincts and overall breadth of experience in the film industry will be invaluable assets to our marketing efforts."
Prior to his time at Open Road, Helfgot founded branded content studio Rec Room, which created nontraditional marketing campaigns for clients including Netflix, Fox, Warner Bros., HBO, Sony Pictures, Universal, Disney and FX.
