Jonah Hill explains how Kanye West's #MAGA tweets caused a rift in his family

Jonah Hill visited Jimmy Kimmel Live where he discussed the blowback he received after attending the listening party for Kanye West's latest album, "Ye." The party came about a month after West announced his support for President Donald Trump on Twitter. Hill said, "I didn't realize it was controversial to go support Kanye at that time. Like my sister didn't speak to me for a week because he had worn a MAGA hat and s***." Despite being chastised by his sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, Hill maintained his support for West. Hill said, "I don't bail on people right away, you know? People f*** up and do stupid stuff. You shouldn't bail on everybody right away." Hill also offered alternative explanation for why West donned the famous Trump hat. He said, "To me it felt like a bad Andy Kaufman swing and miss." Regardless, Hill is still a huge fan of the new album and enjoyed being part of the listening party. While discussing West, he said, "This guy has given me so much, he's my guy." Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
