Jon Stewart Comments on New 'Daily Show' Host
When the new host of The Daily Show was announced last week, the news caused an explosion of buzz and chatter all over social media and the Internet. Things only got more frenzied when controversial tweets from Trevor Noah, the South African comedian chosen to replace Jon Stewart, surfaced causing many critics to accuse him of sexism and anti-Semitism. Monday night, elder statesman Stewart took a moment at the top of the show to let it be known that he’s in full support of Noah.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central.
