Following Trevor Noah’s exit in December 2022 after his seven year tenure, The Daily Show is bringing back beloved former host Jon Stewart on a part-time basis so the late-night show can lead coverage through the 2024 election season.

That’s not to say he’ll be flying solo like last time — Stewart will host The Daily Show‘s Monday night broadcasts beginning Feb. 12, with a roster of rotating correspondents from Tuesday to Thursday. It’s been a bit of a bumpy road to get to this point though, with the series spending 2023 relying on a revolving door of special guests, including Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes, Chelsea Handler, and Leslie Jones, until Comedy Central could decide on a permanent host.

After comedian and former Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj was booted from being the frontrunner to host after a controversial New Yorker article, and Roy Wood Jr. pleading at the Emmys to “please hire a host”, The Daily Show has still opted not to bring in a full-time host, but will have fan favorite Stewart return this year. The official announcement on Instagram on January 24 read “🐐🐐🐐”.

With Stewart now back in the late-night hot seat starting February 12, you may be wondering how to stream The Daily Show without cable. Luckily, we’ve found the best ways to watch new episodes of The Daily Show online — here’s how.
