Who Is Jon Pardi’s Wife? All About Summer Pardi

Jon Pardi had some help finding his wife, Summer Pardi.

The “Dirt on My Boots” singer was introduced to Summer (née Duncan) by a friend of his mother's — who was also one of Summer's hairstyling clients — in 2017.

"Long story short, Jon's mom sent him my number," Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. "He was performing in my hometown, and he called me and invited me to the show. I was in Las Vegas so I said, 'Maybe next time you’re in town.' Obviously, I wasn't aware of how tour life worked so he came back with, 'How about I fly you to Denver next week?' ”

Summer had reservations about meeting Jon for the first time but they both felt a strong connection almost immediately.

“Summer was love at first sight for the first time ever in my life," Jon said. "She was the first girl I've ever dated where I felt like she had my back and that we really are a team.”

In February 2023, Jon and Summer welcomed their first child, daughter Presley. The couple are currently expecting their second child.

She is a hairdresser from Northern California

Summer is from Clovis, California, where she worked as a hairstylist for 13 years and ran her own business — the Tangled Salon and Spa in Fresno, California.

Summer's career also connected her to her eventual husband.

One of Summer’s clients set her up with Jon

Ellen Moxley, a client of Summer’s and a friend of Jon's mom, set the pair up for a blind date in May 2017. Moxley told Summer that she knew a man who came from a great family that would be a good fit for her, and with Summer's permission, Jon's mom gave him her number.

"I have been a hairstylist for 13 years, and with that, you become family with your clients, so they know all the good, bad and ugly of your life," Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. "My client Ellen Moxley has been lifelong friends with Jon's mom, and after a few of my failed attempts at dating, she called one day to tell me about a guy she knew very well from California.”

Jon ended up flying Summer out to one of his shows, something she was skeptical of at first.

“My girlfriends all convinced me I had nothing to lose,” she said. “So I flew out there with a girlfriend, just in case it went south.”

The two met at his show in a country bar and got brunch the next morning.

She and John connected instantly

While Summer was initially skeptical about traveling to meet Jon, both parties felt an instant connection.

“Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me,” she told PEOPLE. “I texted my mom, 'Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.’ ”

For Jon, it was the same. The country music star said he felt "love at first sight" with Summer and that their bond immediately clicked into place.

"Summer is stunningly beautiful to look at, but that doesn't compare with her heart and how caring she is. We have the most fun together — in any situation — and we laugh constantly," Jon told PEOPLE.

They got engaged on tour

During the Nashville stop of Jon’s Heartache Medication tour in 2019, he popped the question to Summer onstage.

The country rocker kept the proposal plan a secret from everyone for a long time, though he ended up telling Summer’s father about his plans so her family could witness the special moment.

Jon told PEOPLE in 2019 that Summer’s parents were planning a trip to Nashville, “and I said, ‘You might want to stay to the second night.' " He added, “We even kept it a secret from her mom because I didn’t want all her friends from back home showing up, and she’d be like, ‘Why’s everybody here?’ It worked out great.”

He also revealed that the night’s venue, the Ryman Auditorium, was the location of one of their first dates.

“When she first came to town, going there was part of our first date,” he said. “I played the Ryman with Rhett Akins, and we got to hang backstage, and I was tour guide.”

Dierks Bentley, one of Jon’s friends and a fellow country star, shared a series of images from the proposal night on Instagram, congratulating the couple.

“My man! @jonpardipics crushing the @theryman stage and crushing life… so proud of you pal,” he captioned the post. “Killer show with my all time fav encore. Congrats to you and @summerfawn_duncan 💍.”

She and Jon got married in November 2020

Jon and Summer were originally set to wed in Montana during Memorial Day weekend in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic altered these plans. Instead, they tied the knot at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Nov. 21, 2020.

"We had a friend who was married at Saddle Woods last year, and when we walked into their wedding, Jon was like, 'This is the most amazing wedding and venue ever,' " Summer told PEOPLE in 2020. "So when we had to cancel our destination wedding, they were naturally the first venue we called when we knew we had to keep things closer to home. There's never a right time in 2020 to get married, so after all the planning and replanning we were just happy we got to do it."

They starred in Pardi Time

In 2020, Jon and Summer starred in Pardi Time, their own eight-episode series on the CMT YouTube Channel. The show gave fans a look into what Jon and Summer were up to during quarantine.

"Welcome to a romantic dinner with me and Summer — you're sitting in our chair having dinner with us," Jon said in the Pardi Time teaser. "Summer cooked us a great filet. [We're] keepin' it down-home Southern-style with some mac and cheese, sweet corn and some asparagus."

She stars in one of Jon’s music videos

In the music video for Jon’s 2019 single “Heartache Medication,” Summer stars as his love interest. The video follows the real-life couple meeting at a bar and sharing a dance together.

“It was fun,” Jon told PEOPLE in 2019. “We like to dance. I think every couple should explore dancing, it’s a lot of fun.”

They share a daughter together

Jon and Summer exclusively revealed that they were expecting their first child to PEOPLE in September 2022.

"I'm ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi of three!" Jon said. "I know [being parents] is going to be the greatest gift in the world,” Summer added.

They soon found out they were expecting a baby girl, whom they named Presley Fawn. She was born on Feb. 18, 2023.

Summer announced the news on Instagram, writing, "Our lives are forever changed… She has one cheek dimple like her mama and her daddy's perfect skin."

At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Jon revealed that six weeks after her birth, Presley was “making all kinds of noise and starting to laugh."

"It's a new adventure that everything that they told you about is true," he told CMT. "That baby's gonna change your life. You're gonna have a feeling you've never felt before. It's this missing hole in your soul which I've never felt before."

She and Pardi are expecting baby No. 2

In January 2024, less than a year after welcoming Presley, the couple announced that they are currently expecting a second baby.

"Good thing we have that extra guest room," Summer wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the couple's new build in Nashville. "We can’t wait to fill this home with all of the love from our little family of four."
