The 'Mad Men' costars tied the knot in June at Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, California

Jon Hamm is sharing some insight into his and wife Anna Osceola’s “perfect” wedding day.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, Hamm, 52, opened up about tying the knot this past summer with his former Mad Men costar, 35.

“It was very exciting,” the Fargo actor told host Jimmy Kimmel of their nuptials, which took place in June at Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, California.

“We did it this summer in beautiful Big Sur. It was a perfect day. It was very sparsely attended, by our decision; it was small. And man, it was great.” Hamm said.

He joked of getting married at the age of 52, “It only took me half a century but I figured I might as well get it right, so there you go.”

Hamm also discussed the pair marrying at the same place where the Mad Men finale was filmed, which is when the duo also met, and described it as a “full-circle moment.”

“It came all the way around,” he said with a smile.

“I don’t know why, but the first thing I wonder when I hear a story like that is did they give a discount?” joked Kimmel, 56.

“Yes!” Hamm replied, laughing. “It was great. It had changed hands since the time [of the show's finale] — this was about nine years ago, so it had changed hands. But it's still a beautiful piece of property, right on the Pacific Ocean."

The Bridesmaids actor joked in addition, "We got married on a cliff and we chose to walk the correct way after we got married!”

Hamm also offered a glimpse into the couple’s recent first Thanksgiving as husband and wife during his interview with Kimmel.

“I’m in charge of the turkeys and we had two because we had 15 people at our house. One was 18 [pounds] and one was 16 [pounds],” Hamm explained. “And here is why I love my wife, too: We got the turkeys and I’m pulling them out of the thing and I’m wrestling them into the brine and she goes, ‘I don’t think we have enough turkey.’ ”

Continued the Morning Show star, “I was like, ‘We have plenty of turkey! We have well over 36 pounds of turkey,' whatever it is. And we had plenty. We had leftovers, we had sandwiches, we had soup, it was great. It’s my favorite holiday because there is so much good food.”

Hamm and Osceola married on June 24 in a ceremony attended by various celebrity pals, including Billy Crudup, Paul Rudd and Tina Fey, according to TMZ.

PEOPLE confirmed in February that the couple had gotten engaged after two years of dating. They previously made their red-carpet debut in March 2022 at an Oscars afterparty.
