Hamm will play Coop, “a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat,” according to the official logline. “These petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.”
He will executive-produce alongside series creator Jonathan Tropper (See, Warrior, Banshee) and Connie Tavel (Confess Fletch).
Hamm — who at one point starred in an Apple TV+ commercial about being the only actor not cast in an Apple original series — recently wrapped Season 3 of the streamer’s media industry drama The Morning Show. He can currently be seen playing swaggering small-town sheriff Roy Tillman in Season 5 of the acclaimed FX anthology Fargo (for which he recently received TVLine accolades), and is the star and EP of Fox’s forthcoming animated comedy Grimsburg, which has already been picked up for Season 2.
He remains best known for his breakout turn as Don Draper in AMC’s Mad Men, which earned him an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2015.
