Jon Gosselin Reveals He's Taking Hannah and Collin on Thanksgiving Vacation
Jon Gosselin is doing something he's never done and taking his kids on an adventure with his girlfriend's family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" opened up about the plans to go on a Thanksgiving vacation with Hannah and Collin, as well as his girlfriend Colleen Conrad and her two children. Gosselin also stated that it will be the first real vacation he's gone on with his children, even if it is only two out of eight.

With all the drama on TV and off, 42-year-old Jon Gosselin says he's never gone away with his kids on a trip, until now. He recently spoke to In Touch at the Victoria’s Voice event presented by the Victoria Siegel Foundation and Greenspoon Marder LLP at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
“It’s amazing, our trip is amazing," Gosselin explained to the media, adding , "So it’s Colleen’s family and us, me, Hannah and Collin. But it’s our family. I always consider me, Colleen, her kids, Jordan and Jesse."
Gosselin is used to a big family and talked about joining up with Colleen and her kids. "That’s our family. We’re very blended, racially, whatever.” While he wouldn't reveal the exact location of the Thanksgiving destination, Jon did say that the trip is overseas and everyone will need passports.

Even though Jon Gosselin's romantic relationship with Colleen Conrad may be only a few years old, he's apparently been friends with her for quite some time. During a media panel last year, Gosselin explained their relationship.
"I've known Colleen my whole life ... We grew up three blocks from each other. Her sister used to babysit me."
The two began dating in 2014, years after Jon's divorce from Kate Gosselin was finalized and the drama surrounding his personal life had settled down. They went Instagram official in 2015 when Gosselin posted a photo of the two on a the beach without any explanation.
Even though Jon doesn't interact with all his children, he's spoken on how much Hannah and Collin love Colleen and her children, and that the two families interact together very well.
Not for TV
The Gosselin Thanksgiving trip sounds like it would make a perfect reality TV special, but don't hold your breath. Jon has expressed that he does not feel it's in the children's best interest to showcase them on reality TV, and recently railed at his ex-wife for participating in a dating show that involved the kids in her custody.
"I'm furious, absolutely furious," Gosselin said at the time, adding that, "The judge and the guardian ad litem both agreed that it wasn’t in my children’s best interests to be filmed."
He also lashed out at Kate after a 10-year gag order had been lifted following their 2009 divorce. Gosselin claimed that Kate mentally abused their 15-year-old son, Collin, and sent him to a special needs institution in Philadelphia for years.
Gosselin said he actually removed Collin from Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute last year after the boy wrote to him begging for help.
Since then, Collin has remained in Gosselin's custody, along with 15-year-old Hannah.
