In a preview of NBC's "Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist," Jon Bon Jovi gets real personal about heated topics that have surrounded him and his band.
The Bon Jovi frontman shares his thoughts on how it felt when former band mate Richie Sambora departed from the band in 2013.
"What was then, was then. And what is now, is now. You've never heard me say a bad word about the guy, I love him to death, but there was no way that I was going to be hindered by his departure," Bon Jovi explains the situation very openly and honestly.
Along with the constant touring and album releases, he also reveals how he deals with the aftermath of a long tour and how he knows when to starting working on new material.
"The feeling definitely has to be there. At the end of the tour, December of '13, I didn't sing in the shower. For all of 2014, I didn't touch the guitar. In fact, I walked by it and give it the finger."
