The man responsible for the infectious R&B classic “They Don’t Know” is back with a new tune featuring Tank.

Jon B. and the “When We” crooner have teamed up for “Waiting On You,” which is set to live on Jon’s forthcoming eighth studio album of the same name. The 11-track LP releases next year with musical assistance from Rick Ross, Donell Jones, and Alex Isley.

According to the 49-year-old, “Waiting On You” describes the feeling of anticipating love in your life — the seasons of waiting. “No matter the timing, even when it seems like it’s taking forever, you have to be patient for your partner in life. Not giving up makes it all worth the wait,” he said in a statement.

The new track marks Jon’s first release since 2019’s “Priceless,” as the two seasoned heartthrobs first collaborated 15 years prior on “Stronger Everyday.”

Over the span of the Pasadena star’s career, he’s recorded seven studio LP’s dating back to his 1995 debut Bonafied. His most commercially successful album is the Platinum-certified Cool Relax, which boasted the aforementioned hit single “They Don’t Know” and “Are U Still Down” featuring 2Pac.

Most recently, Jon. B appeared at WBLS’ Circle of Sisters concert where he performed “Someone To Love” with Babyface for the first time.
