JoJo Siwa went all in on her preparation for Special Forces: World's Toughest Test.

The Dance Moms alum, 20, admitted to PEOPLE she took the boot camp training for season 2 of the Fox reality competition very seriously — and she took her costars Nick Viall and Tyler Cameron to task if they weren't falling in line.

"I was psycho. I would stand at the door and be like, 'Nick, your bottom left button. Tyler, your right shoe. Phone... Not phone. Instead of phone, wallet, keys, you say hat, gloves, armband. Your zipper's undone. Your button's undone. Everyone, we're wearing this, this and that,'" she recalled Tuesday at a Los Angeles press event for the show.

Despite going into drill sergeant mode with the Bachelor Nation stars, Siwa said the pair kept her sane amid the physically and mentally taxing experience.

"I'm lucky that I had Nick there and I'm lucky that I had Tyler there and Bode [Miller] and we all got super close, but definitely Nick and Tyler is who I was like, 'Thank God I have these people here. Because if I didn't have y'all, nah,'" she continues.

Viall, 42, shared the sentiment, saying he felt "lucky" to have met Siwa. "Maybe there was a world in which JoJo and I would've made friends and became fast friends, but certainly Special Forces brought us together, and I anticipate being each other's lives for a long time," he told PEOPLE.

"Aw, damn, I'm going to cry over here," Siwa said in response to Viall's sweet comments, quipping, "My family has a joke: A lesbian and two bachelors walk into a bar. I was like, 'Yeah?' What are the odds ... It's cool."

The "D.R.E.A.M." singer recounted a moment when Viall came to her rescue when her feet were so cold from all the time outside — the show was filmed on the mountains of New Zealand as contestants were put through "winter warfare training" — that she worried she'd have to bow out of the show.

"We were driving back and I really thought I was going to have to leave because my feet — it was beyond the point of freezing. And I took my boots off … and I was like, 'My feet, you guys, they're just... I don't know what to do.' And Nick was like, 'Put your feet up here.'"

The reality star and podcast host then took Siwa's feet into his hands and began squeezing them to warm them up. "The reason my feet are attached to my body still is because of you. They would've fallen off," she told Viall.

The trio recently reunited after filming and attended a Zach Bryan concert together, along with Viall's fiancée Natalie Joy.

"The band is back together!!" Siwa declared in an Aug. 24 Instagram post, alongside photos and video clips of the group enjoying the concert.

"If someone told me a year ago that these 2 boys would become such a massive part of my life I would’ve never believed you…" she continued. "Special Forces brought us together just a few months ago and mannnn am I grateful🤍 for these 2 AND for the rest of the chosen family gained from forces, a bond that will last for life!!"

Viall left Siwa a comment on the post, poking fun at her over-the-top dedication to the boot camp. "Thanks for keeping us in line, duty recruit ❤️," he wrote.

Cameron, 30, wrote, "Love you jojo! So grateful that we were brought together through special forces!"
