Johnny Manziel is still doing Johnny Manziel things.

The former Heisman Trophy winner's long and winding career has brought to him the Fan Controlled Football league, making his debut on Saturday for the Zappers. As soon as the ball was in his hands, he was doing the kind of backyard football stuff that made him a star in college:

Obviously, the quality of competition, field dimensions and rules are a bit different from Manziel's past stops, which include the NFL, Alliance of American Football and Canadian Football League.

It's been six years since Manziel last appeared in the NFL and nearly two years since his last competitive football action with the NFL. He's previously admitted his days of pursuing an NFL comeback are over and told USA Today that he basically joined the FCF out of boredom.

The FCF, playing its inaugural season and backed by various investment firms, internet figures and various celebrities (including Marshawn Lynch), isn't complaining about Manziel's boredom:

Manziel's Zappers eventually lost to the Beasts 48-44, but even the final play was stressful for the defense.
