Look out, Hollywood: there’s a new Depp in town. Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose, 15, is currently filming her first starring role in the upcoming Kevin Smith film Yoga Hosers. On Wednesday, Lily-Rose was photographed for the first time on the Los Angeles set of the adventure movie, which also costars her famous father.

Lily-Rose Melody Depp, whose mother is French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis, plays one of two Manitoba high school students who must use their yoga skills to fight an ancient evil. (The other girl is played by Kevin Smith’s own teenage daughter, Harley Quinn Smith.) Johnny Depp plays Guy Lapointe, a “legendary man-hunter” from Montreal (named, presumably, for the Canadian hockey player) who aids them in the fight.

“People always ask me ‘Are you ever going to make a comic book movie?’” Smith told The Hollywood Reporter last month. “This is it — but instead of yet another dude saving the day, our antiheroes are the most feared and formidable creatures man has ever encountered: two 15-year-old girls.”

Yoga Hosers is the second film in Smith’s True North Trilogy, three movies inspired by Canadian culture and mythology. Lily-Rose’s character will be introduced in the first movie, the horror-comedy Tusk, which stars Justin Long and opens on Sept. 19. A third film, Moose Jaws, was described by Smith at Comic-Con as “Jaws with a moose.” So if Lily-Rose survives Yoga Hosers, she may need to brush up on her moose-fighting skills.
