Johnny Depp is reportedly set to break records for the most lucrative men’s fragrance contract ever. According to Variety, the actor signed a three-year contract for upwards of $20 million with Dior. The publication claimed this is the most lucrative men’s fragrance contract deal to date.
Representatives for Depp and Dior did not immediately return BuzzFeed’s request for confirmation.

Variety reported on Friday that Depp’s deal bested two notable celebrity fragrance partnerships: Robert Pattinson’s $12 million deal with Dior Homme and Brad Pitt’s $7 million contract with Chanel No. 5. The average A-list fragrance deal is usually between $2 million and $4 million, according to the publication.

Depp and Dior have a long history of working together. Since 2015, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor has served as the face of their brand’s Dior Sauvage fragrance. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new contract is an extension of the Dior Sauvage partnership.

The reported history-making deal with Dior comes nearly a year after he and Amber Heard, his ex-wife, were embroiled in a headline-making defamation trial. A jury found Heard liable for defamation in relation to a Washington Post op-ed she wrote about domestic violence, which did not mention Depp by name. Depp was awarded $15 million, though Heard was also awarded $2 million.

Since then, Depp’s career has continued. Earlier this week, it was announced Al Pacino will appear in a new biopic of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. Depp is set to direct the film.
