Johnny Depp’s Longtime Friend Jeff Beck Dead At 78 After Contracting Bacterial Meningitis

The music industry is mourning the death of famed guitarist Jeff Beck. His family announced his passing on Instagram on Jan. 11, confirming he died on Jan. 10 from bacterial meningitis. Beck was known as a rock guitarist who rose to fame with the Yardbirds and later fronted the Jeff Beck Group. During his career he won eight Grammys and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. He recently completed a tour supporting his album with Johnny Depp titled “18.”
