John Travolta’s daughter, Ella Bleu, is 16 years old now, if you can believe, and as the old saying goes: If you’re old enough to drive, you’re old enough for Ellen DeGeneres to embarrass you on national television.

Travolta stopped by Ellen ahead of the finale of The People v. O.J. Simpson with Kelly Preston and Ella in tow. Ella actually made her talk show debut on Ellen when she was 9, so this was something of a reunion. DeGeneres asked Ella if she’s dating — she’s not, really — and Travolta revealed that he’s pretty hands-off in that arena.

“I don’t interfere with that,” Travolta said. “And I’m saving her because she has two guys that she hangs out with; I don’t ask anything about what they say or do with each other.”

Travolta is very involved, however, in his daughter’s preparation for her upcoming driver’s test. Having grown up in Hollywood, you’d think Ella would know that Ellen’s suggestion that she practice parallel parking was a set up. But she didn’t and so the group headed out into the lot where there was a boat of a car waiting for Ella.

Things could have gone worse, given that it was Ella’s first time parallel parking. And Travolta was very enthusiastic, but we’d imagine the owner of the car behind them feels slightly differently.
