John Travolta Almost Gave Taylor Swift's VMA to Famous Drag Queen

John Travolta continued his streak of awards show flubs, this time by almost giving away Taylor Swift's award to her drag queen counterpart.

The moment went down Monday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ as Swift and her entourage took the stage to accept the "Video of the Year" award for "You Need to Calm Down."

John Travolta and Queen Latifah were presenting the award, but unfortunately Travolta appeared to try and give the Moonman Statue to Jade Jolie, who plays Swift in the famous video.

Jolie is pretty famous in her own right as a Taylor Swift impersonator, and also appeared on season 5 of "RuPaul's Drag Race."

Travolta leaned in to give her the award before realizing Jolie was not the real Taylor, and immediately laughing over the mixup. He appeared to give a little apology before handing the statue over to the actual Taylor.

Jolie apparently loved the moment, and wrote on Instagram that, "Almost got my first award tonight thanks to @johntravolta."

The mistaken identity was innocent enough, but it's hardly the first public gaffe for Travolta at an awards show, and it's possible he's now being set up for failure every time he takes the stage.

Back in 2015 he got caught in a media firestorm after a supposedly sweet encounter with Scarlett Johansson turned super awkward when he leaned in for a kiss on the red carpet during the Academy Awards.

The year before, however, was the most epic flub of all time when Travolta really mispronounced singer Idina Menzel's name during the 2014 Academy Awards.

Never forget, Adele Dazeem.
