John Stamos Shares Rare 'Full House' Reunion Photo Including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

On Friday, May 17—what would have been Bob Saget's 68th birthday—his Full House co-star, John Stamos, posted a touching tribute alongside a reunion photo. Much to the delight of fans of the beloved sitcom, the notoriously private Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare appearance in the picture.

"Happy Birthday Bob. This was taken as we gathered for his funeral," Stamos captioned the Instagram snap dedicated to Saget, who died on Jan. 9, 2022.

"Though Bob wasn’t there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears," he continued. "That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he nurtured among us."

In the black-and-white photo, Stamos and many of his Full House castmates—including Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Scott Weinger, and the Olsen twins—posed together while smiling.

"Bob was the heart of our 'Full House' family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, (on Dumbo) in the gentle ways we supported one another, echoing the love he always extended," Stamos declared in his heartfelt birthday tribute. "

He added: "We celebrated a life that was a true gift to us all.Bob, you are with us in every joke we share and every hug we give. Rest in peace, dear friend. Your family misses you more than words can say. 💔 📸""

In the comments, Instagram users couldn't help but express their surprise and delight over Mary-Kate and Ashley appearing in the photo. The Olsen twins opted to live a more private life after growing up portraying Michelle Tanner on Full House; they also turned down the chance to reprise the role in the spin-off, Fuller House.

One person wrote, "❤️ that the Olsens are in this pic. I know how private they are, and they earned it. Such a great photo."

Another Instagram user commented, "Seeing the Olsen twins with y’all means so much. Whew! Big tears. Full House had such an impact on me. A safe space during some hard days."
