In case you haven’t already heard from your friends or social media, yesterday’s 2024 Oscar nominations were filled with some surprising and almost confusing snubs. The biggest one, according to the internet, was not nominating Barbie star Margot Robbie for Best Actress or Greta Gerwig for Best Director. After all, they were the masterminds behind the biggest movie of the year.

And, following the backlash against the Academy, stars of the movie, including Best Supporting Actor nominee Ryan Gosling and Best Supporting Actress nominee America Ferrera have spoken out against the decision. “I was incredibly disappointed that they weren’t nominated,” Ferrera told Variety. “To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement,” Gosling echoed in his statement, per Time.

The latest star to comment on the snub, however, isn’t involved in the project at all and is just a fan instead. Fuller House star John Stamos took to TikTok yesterday to recreate a hilarious scene from Barbie and give his thoughts on the whole situation.

In the video, Stamos and his wife Caitlin McHugh recreated a moment shared between Robbie’s character Barbie and Gosling’s character Ken as they arrive in the real world and Barbie says she needs some time to think. “What I am supposed to do?” Stamos dubs while sitting in a lounge chair. McHugh, who’s seen trimming some trees, then says Robbie’s line “Ken, go for a walk or something!” Safe to say the scene was hilarious both in the movie and on TikTok!

“This one goes out to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie who crafted a film that was both a critical success and a cultural phenomenon, delving into feminist themes through the lens of Barbie and challenging patriarchal norms,” Stamos wrote in the caption. “This movie not only resonated deeply, but also grossed OVER a billion dollars.”

“Yet, in a twist of irony, both women were snubbed by the Academy,” he continued. “Everyone go re-watch Barbie tonight.” We couldn’t agree more!

In the comments, fans of Stamos are applauding the actor for taking a stand. “We forever stan John Stamos for the caption alone 👏👏👏” wrote one commenter. “I didnt think it was possible to love John Stamos anymore but here we are🤷🏻‍♀️❤️❤️”

Most of all, it seems like his fans are ready to rewatch the movie and have a Barbie night this week just like he asked. Don’t mind if we do!
