Full House vet John Stamos has released a new version of “Forever,” the Beach Boys ballad popularized by the classic ABC comedy. The new rendition, recorded as a lullaby, is a duet with American Idol alum/TikTok sensation Jax. Listen below:

The Beach Boys song was by no means a hit when it was first released as a single in 1971. But it found a second life thanks to the TGIF sitcom, where it originally served as Jesse and Rebecca’s wedding song in Season 4:

Then in Season 5, Jesse and the Rippers signed a record deal and released “Forever” as their debut single, where it skyrocketed to No. 1 in Tokyo and only Tokyo. (In the U.S., it peaked at… No. 99.)

Jesse and the Rippers disbanded in Season 8 — damn you, Barry Williams! — but the Netflix sequel series Fuller House seemed to forget about that (along with the formation of Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets) when the Rippers accompanied Jesse during a family sing-along in the 2016 pilot:
