John Stamos and Bob Saget Get Emotional Talking About Don Rickles: He Always Wanted Us to Settle Down

John Stamos and Bob Saget have a lot of fond memories of Don Rickles and the tough love he showed them over the years.

On Monday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Fuller House stars recalled how the comedian -- who died last week at age 90 -- was always advising them to settle down and meet some good women. "He really wanted me to find a girl," Stamos said. "He was worried about Bob."

Saget quipped, "He said, 'Stop dating teenagers.'"

Stamos pointed out that he's now "madly in love" with girlfriend Caitlin McHugh and Rickles did meet her and approved of their relationship.

Saget joked that Rickles always like Stamos more than him, noting that the comedian "never got his name right."

"He really did love John," Saget continued. "I think it took him back to a different time in show biz when people were like John, just handsome and smart and didn't talk about show business. They talked about family."

Stamos added, "I have to say it's been the highlight of my life to spend time with him."

Last week, Kimmel gave an emotional, heartfelt tribute to Rickles on his late-night show. Check it out:
