John Morrison has he has unfinished business in WWE and practically every major wrestling promotion in the United States.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Morrison, who was released by WWE in November, was asked about potentially returning to the company for the Royal Rumble match. He jokingly asked if the event is being held in Saudi Arabia before he noted that you never say never in wrestling. Morrison stated that he has unfinished business in the company, but he has history with wrestlers from various promotions, so it would be “great” to land in any one of them.

“You know, what wouldn’t be the worst thing. I mean, imagine how cool that would be for WWE. Where is the Rumble gonna be? Is it gonna be in Saudi Arabia? [Laughs] Never say never, come on. I have a ton of unfinished business. I have unfinished business with my frenemy, The Miz, and with a ton of people on the roster.

“In the business of professional wrestling, if you look at the rosters of Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Rampage, Dynamite, IMPACT, MLW, Ring of Honor, NWA, I have personal history and issues with a lot of people on every one of those rosters. So it would be great to go back to WWE. It would be great to go to any one of those rosters because there’s a ton of unfinished business, a ton of new matchups, and mostly because I like wrestling.”

Since his release, Morrison has wrestled for AAA, AEW, and GCW, among other companies. He recently returned to MLW, and he is set to compete at MLW SuperFight 2023.
