John Mayer Is Reportedly Looking To Buy a Hamptons Home With Another Star

It’s hard not to marvel at John Mayer and Andy Cohen’s friendship. The musician and TV personality’s bond has been well-documented over the years, with countless public appearances and social media posts showcasing their camaraderie. And now, it seems their friendship is taking an exciting turn as they embark on a potential real estate venture.

Reports suggest that Mayer and Cohen have been house hunting in the Hamptons, exploring properties that could become their shared sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of their respective careers. Although no official announcement has been made, their close-knit relationship and shared experiences make this rumor all the more intriguing.

“John has been Andy’s houseguest many times, but now Andy’s talking about getting a house together,” a source told Radar Online. “The prospect of cohabitation has piqued interest as to what exactly is going on here.”

The allure of the Hamptons, known for its luxurious homes and beautiful beaches, seems to have captured their attention. It’s no wonder that Mayer and Cohen are drawn to this exclusive enclave, which has long been a preferred destination for celebrities seeking respite from the city.

Back in August, Mayer even spent some time at Cohen’s guest house in the Hamptons. “My mom stops at nothing to help other guests!” Cohen captioned a photo of his mother steaming a shirt as John Mayer looks on.

The two’s friendship has been going strong for years. Cohen even commented on the rumors that the two were more than friends back in 2018.

“Listen, we have a very sweet friendship, and we are together all the time,” Cohen said of Mayer during an interview with CNN. “I think that I was not surprised because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption.” When asked again to confirm that he and Mayer aren’t dating, Cohen said, “Right, we aren’t dating.”

Still, the news that the two are looking at properties together has those rumors swirling once again — not that Cohen minds, according to Radar’s source. “Meanwhile, the two of them are loving the attention,” the source noted. “They get off on knowing people are speculating about them!”

Sounds like these two are simply super close platonic friends and want to share a potential vacation property together, as celebrity BFFs do.
