Rock guitarist John Mayer ― known for his versatility on slow jams, serenading acoustic songs and electric tunes ― is going on a solo acoustic tour this spring.

Mayer will perform on April 6 at Acrisure Arena. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m., Feb. 3, at Johnmayer.com. Fans can sign up to access presale tickets now. Presales run from 9 a.m., Feb. 1 to 10 p.m., Feb. 2. Ticket prices have not been released.

Mayer's tour will feature his acoustic guitar work with additional performances on piano and electric guitar. Singer-songwriters Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin are joining Mayer on tour. Additionally, a different special guest for each city will be announced at a later time.

"I began my career on stage with only a guitar and a microphone. A lot has changed since then, but I knew one day I’d feel it in my heart to do an entire run of shows on my own again, just like those early days," the musician wrote in an announcement on Instagram. "It took a couple of decades, but I feel it now."

He added, "I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing ― all on acoustic, electric, and piano."

Mayer joins Lizzo, Shania Twain, The Eagles and several others who are scheduled to play the arena this year.
