There are rumors of a John Lennon biopic movie in development.

A rumor from World of Reel says that a new casting call has gone out for “a caucasian actor in his early to mid-30s with the ability to sing, have moderate experience in playing the guitar, and be fine with nudity.”

“The film would focus on the immediate period after the Beatles breakup, tackling Lennon’s solo career and his relationship with Yoko Ono,” according to the source. Ono is a consultant and a producer, with Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl, I, Tonya, Cruella) attached as a director.

Will there be a John Lennon biopic?

This has not been officially confirmed yet. However, the 2009 movie Nowhere Boy stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the famous Beatle.
